Salvadoran-American PhD Candidate in Anthropology at UCLA with a focus on grassroots archiving, sexual politics and historical memory. Nicola cofounded AMATE El Salvador, a queer feminist project, and directs the organization's LGBTQ+ archive, the first in El Salvador. Her work has appeared in GLQ, Factum, El Faro Académico, Society for Cultural Anthropology, NACLA and elsewhere.
